Red Butte and Steak Flatbread


For pizza:

For steak rub:

  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

For tomato avocado salsa:

  • 2 roma tomatoes chopped
  • 1/2 avocado chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onion
  • 1 teaspoon chopped cilantro
  • 2 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper


  1. Set oven to broil.
  2. Combine tomatoes through pepper and set aside.
  3. Combine steak seasoning. Rub all over steak and sear in pan until medium well. Let rest for at least 10 minutes. Slice into thin strips and set aside.
  4. Roll out pizza until about 1/4 inch thick. Add oil to sauté pan and place flattened dough in hot pan. Lightly brown on both sides and remove from heat and place on cookie sheet. Spread cheese and steak on dough and put under broiler until cheese is bubbly and dough is brown and crisp around edges. Remove from heat and spoon on tomato avocado salsa.
  5. Pair with a Jalapeno Margarita for a nice spice combo!
