Bowl of shrimp cheese dip toast points surrounding the bowl


  • 1 12 oz wedge of Big John’s Cajun shredded
  • 1 tbs butter 
  • 1 tbs flour 
  • 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper 
  • 1 tbs garlic 
  • 1/2 tsp salt 
  • 1/2 tsp pepper 
  • 1 1/2 cups of heavy cream 
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 
  • 1 cup chopped cooked shrimp 
  • 1 tbs lemon juice 
  • 2 tbs green onion 


  1. In a saucepan over medium heat melt butter and add flour. Stir for a few minutes to cook the raw flour.
  2. Add bell pepper, garlic, salt and pepper. Sauté those until softened.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a slow simmer until slightly thickened. Add 2-3 cups of cheese and mix thoroughly until well incorporated and cheese is melted.
  4. Add shrimp, lemon juice and green onion. Cook 1-2 minutes more and serve with your favorite bread for dipping.
