Hot Chocolate


  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semisweet or dark chocolate chips, melted.
  • 1 1/2 cups red wine1 tsp vanilla
  • Pinch of salt
  • Brown sugar to taste


  1. Heat milk and cream over medium heat til simmering. Do not boil!!
  2. While milk is heating, melt chocolate piece on microwave or over a double boiler.
  3. Remove milk from heat and whisk in chocolate, wine and vanilla.
  4. Add salt and sugar to taste. Serves 4.
