Barely Buzzed wins 3rd straight ACS Blue Ribbon PDF Print E-mail

Beehive Cheese Company of Ogden, Utah wins Blue Ribbon for their Barely Buzzed cheese for the 3rd consecutive year at the American Cheese Society Annual Cheese Competition in Austin, TX on Friday, August 7, 2009.
 
Beehive Cheese, Barely Buzzed - Espresso and Lavender rubbed placed First in the Flavored Cheddar category.  Tim Welsh of Beehive Cheese Company said "This award is extremely meaningful to us.  For a relatively new cheesemaker, it validates our ability to produce a consistent and quality product that won the best of category three years in a row.  We have been pinching ourselves since winning the award to make sure we weren't dreaming"
 
The American Cheese Society celebrated its 25th Judging and Competition this year in Austin where 1,327 Cheeses were entered in the competition representing 197 producers from 32 States, Canada and Mexico.  The convention culminated on Saturday with the Festival of Cheese.
